Biet's journey is one worth tuning into, enjoy a brief intro into the world of Guided by Biet.
We wanna know more about you and how it is you have
come to living in the space you create from.
I have always known who I am. I forget often but then I remember. It's in this remembering that I am transformed and those around me are transformed. When I got sober 12 years ago I was able to put all my magic into real use. For me I could not do it rightly as an active drug addict. That beginning was everything. From there I created my career, my book, my world experiences. I didn't really do anything actually, I just remembered who I was. When anyone remembers who they are... worlds arise! Things are born.
What does a week in the life of your family look like?
Do you have any rituals in which you swear by?
I swear by being an example for my baby. I left to go to art basil (art exhibition when she was 5 weeks old. Brought my husband and my post partum doula. My music was being featured in an art installation. I want to be the kind of mom that gives up nothing to be a mom. Yeah sure as mom you have do some silly stuff like take her to little parks and kid stuff... but whenever I am not changing diapers or hanging at a petting zoo I am conquering the world and leaping into my destiny. I believe that makes me the best mom. So I guess I would say my rituals are kicking ass and meditating, ha.
You have your own style in the way you show up to life, tell us more about how you became an author, spirtual teacher and musician?
I think I just believe that if a person is in a state of self remembering their energy is so infectious. I believe my whole career springs from this state I am in. Everyone wants a part of it. I am not alone.. all the people I admire have it too! You know what I mean?
How important is teaching Cassius to be mindful and practice self love?
How do you instil these principles in your home?
We pray before meals, I meditate, my husband meditates, I have already taught her breath work.
Three most important steps
3. Take in art and culture
I wanna say meditate too, but essentially to me everything
is a meditation if you're doing the above 3.
My new record! Live events all over the world, other amazing things that involve always, me being in front of a camera or with many of my beloved humans.
Life is quite the adventure...Share with us some words of wisdom you live by?
Don't take yourself seriously
Be humble always, know you are nothing, know nothing and can't do this alone.
Don't be afraid to fail a lot
Don't be afraid of pain, it's gonna happen whether you succeed or give up.
Love is impossible on earth. Don't buy in that impossible things are impossible.
You can do anything as long as you remember yourself first.
